Adaptive Cards

This week I had an AI-100: Designing and Implementing an Azure AI Solution class delivered in partnership with Bittnet Systems for Microsoft Romania. As the labs of the class are focussed on building a bot and enhancing it with the help of Cognitive Services, one of the subjects that naturally came up was “Adaptive Cards“.

What is a “Card”? “Cards are used to display your content inside a host experience” Matt Hidinger, Build 2018.
Adaptive Cards are platform-agnostic snippets of UI, authored in JSON, that apps and services can openly exchange. When delivered to a specific app, the JSON is transformed into a native UI that automatically adapts to its surroundings. It helps design and integrate light-weight UI for all major platforms and frameworks.
